Official guidelines for commercial filming, wedding photography, and organized events at Kowloon Public Pier. Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).

Permit Categories

Commercial Filming

Feature films, TV series, and commercials require formal LCSD approval.

Wedding Photography

Generally permitted for non-commercial use, but must not obstruct public access.

Public Events

Organizations planning gatherings or promotional events must secure a usage permit.

Application Procedure

Contact the LCSD Film Services Office at least 14 days in advance.

Submit form LS(F)1 along with a location map and production details.

Pay the relevant permit fees and public liability insurance premiums.

Important Notice for Production Teams

  • The pier must remain open to the public at all times unless exclusive use is granted.
  • No structural modifications or painting of the historic steps is permitted.
  • Strict adherence to maritime safety protocols and noise ordinances.
